We addressed several known road-bumps when it comes to church websites, introducing features that you rarely see. They are easy to maintain by editors as well as to use by visitors.
A warm welcome
Key points are attractively presented on the hompage – vicar's welcome, safeguarding, events calendar and activity highlights – all of which is modular in the system meaning it can be re-ordered and swapped in and out easily by editors.

Dynamic calendar
We have used a Google Calendar to embed an attractive, dynamic calendar for the homepage that shows the events for the week ahead, starting on whatever the current day is. After some initial configuration it was easy to get working and stays up to date on the site simply by updating the calendar at source. And of course this Google Calendar can be shared with staff, on personal calendars and anywhere that syncs with a standard iCal format – so it serves many purposes.

Music list
We have a dynamic music list area that updates according to the month we’re on. Past music lists are available to view. Special thought was given to the content management aspect of this which risks being time-consuming if a solid process is not in place.

Audio and video
The site effortlessly hosts video and audio content to showcase the choir and the church’s teachings and courses available to all
